Croatia’s Adriatic coast offers historic waterfront towns, island harbors, and modern marinas. Choose overnight stops around your yacht, route, and preferred pace. Your captain will confirm whether a berth, authorized mooring buoy, or anchorage suits the conditions.
Historic Harbors
Stone quays, waterfront squares, churches, and fortifications make Croatia’s historic harbors rewarding places to explore ashore. Mainland highlights include Split, Trogir, Šibenik, and Zadar. Island stops include Korčula Town, Hvar Town, Rab Town, Cres Town, Krk Town, and Stari Grad on Hvar.
Where a suitable town-quay berth is available, you may be able to step ashore for a waterfront dinner or a walk through the historic center. Berth availability, yacht-size limits, fees, and services vary; confirm arrangements before arrival.
Modern Marinas and Services
Marinas provide a convenient base for boarding, provisioning, and overnight stays. Depending on the location, facilities may include electricity and water, showers, restrooms, laundry, fuel, grocery stores, restaurants, maintenance, and repairs.
Check the marina’s current facilities and opening hours. Confirm whether water and electricity are included in the berth fee, where your yacht will be moored, and how you will reach it from the airport or town.
ACI Marinas and Their History
ACI was founded on July 1, 1983, as Adriatic Club Yugoslavia (ACY). Its initial development included 16 purpose-built marinas. In 1994, the company was registered as a joint-stock company and renamed Adriatic Croatia International Club.
The ACI network includes 22 marinas along Croatia’s mainland coast and islands. ACI Marina Dubrovnik, near Komolac, provides access to the southern Dalmatian coast. Select a marina around your planned route and confirm a suitable berth for the yacht.
Other Marina Options
Marina Punat, on Krk, has welcomed boaters since 1964. Other options include D-Marin Mandalina in Šibenik, Martinis Marchi Hotel & Marina on Šolta, and Marina Korkyra in Vela Luka on Korčula. Check their current berth options and services directly.
Anchorages and Mooring Buoys
An anchorage or authorized mooring buoy can offer a different overnight experience from a marina. Availability, fees, shelter, and local restrictions vary. The captain selects suitable stops based on the yacht and conditions.
Check current park entry, anchoring, and mooring requirements before visiting protected waters such as Kornati or Mljet. Some waterfront restaurants provide moorings for diners; confirm their availability and terms directly. Dining options in the Kornati area include Restaurant Festa on Žut and Restaurant Robinson on Kornat.
